Bowl head-to-head against an opponent over a set number of frames. Roll at the pins from behind the line — most pins across your frames takes the match.

Frame count and lane setup are set by the kaiwhakawā on the day and matched for all players. Release the ball behind the line; foot faults score zero for that roll. Most total pins wins the match; equal pins is a draw. Log your result as a win, draw or loss with your opponent's name. Extra matches vs new opponents earn effort points.
