Play a dodgeball match. Throw to hit opponents below the shoulders, dodge what comes back, and catch a live ball to bring a teammate back in — last team (or player) standing wins the set.

Format (team size, sets, court size) set by the kaiwhakawā. Hits above the shoulders don't count and headhunting is a foul. A caught ball puts the thrower out. Honesty rule: call yourself out. Log your result as a win, draw, or loss. Extra matches vs new opponents earn effort points.
